First Time Visitor

What to Expect:

At Wilshire United Methodist Church you will find a welcoming multi-cultural congregation. Stop by the Welcome table on your way in, to pick up more info and to let us welcome you personally. Many of our members still enjoy dressing up for church. However, you are welcome to come as you are.

You will find our service to be more traditional, as we will sing hymns, read scripture, hear a sermon, and on the first of each month we celebrate communion. In the United Methodist Church, we have an open communion table. All who seek the presence of Jesus in their lives are welcome at the table.

Worship begins at 10am and will last about an hour. There is a free parking lot on site. The surrounding streets also provide free parking on Sundays. If you’d prefer to take public transit, the closest bus station is on the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Plymouth, which is next to the church. Bus 20 and bus 210 both make stops there.

Following each service, please join us for a meal in the Fellowship Hall, right next to our sanctuary. Our members take turns providing meals for our community and we would love to have you join us. Look for the Welcome table to break bread with members of our hospitality team and to learn more about ways to get involved at Wilshire UMC.

For more information about our community, please read the latest edition of The Visitor or contact us at (email). Wilshire is a part of the California Pacific Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. To learn more about what we believe, please visit www.umc.org or www.calpacumc.org
